Privacy Policy — PTential

PTential ("the app", "we") is an NPTE exam-preparation app. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We collect the minimum information needed to run the app — we do not sell your data, and the app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

Information we collect

• Account information. If you sign in, we collect your email address and display name. This is used to identify your account and is stored with our backend provider, Supabase.
• Purchase information. Subscriptions are processed by Google Play. Our subscription manager, RevenueCat, receives purchase receipts and an anonymous app user ID to determine your subscription status. We never see or store your payment card details.
• Study data. Your quiz answers, scores, streaks, bookmarks, study plan, exam date, and game progress are stored locally on your device. This data is used only to power app features (progress tracking, spaced repetition, statistics).

What we do not collect

• No location data
• No contacts, photos, files, camera, or microphone access
• No advertising identifiers; the app shows no third-party ads
• No third-party analytics or behavioral tracking

How information is used

Information is used solely to provide app functionality: authenticating your account, unlocking features you have purchased, tracking your study progress, and sending optional local study reminders. Notifications are scheduled on your device and can be disabled at any time in your device settings.

Third-party services

The app relies on these service providers, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:

• Supabase — account storage
• RevenueCat — subscription management
• Google Play Billing — payment processing

Data retention and deletion

Account information is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing fonseca1ryan@gmail.com from the email address linked to your account; we will delete it within 30 days. Locally stored study data can be removed at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.

Children's privacy

PTential is intended for adults preparing for a professional licensure exam and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

Data transmitted to our service providers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Access to account data is restricted to what is required to operate the app.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
